With NaNoWriMo around the corner, I’ve been in full prep mode (#preptober) so I can hit the ground running on November 1st. I’ve learned the value of positive self-talk and messaging; we have a constant barrage of the negative coming from ourselves and the outside world, so simple reminders go a long way.
We look at our phones every day, multiple times a day, so the lock screen is the perfect place to leave yourself an encouraging message. As writers, it can be all too easy to put our writing aside and not make time for it. Whether it’s fear, self-doubt, or simply not prioritizing our dreams, we have a tendency to fall into the trap of not actually doing any writing. It’s a paradox, but a reality, nonetheless!
I made a set of free phone wallpapers for writers to keep you motivated during NaNoWriMo and beyond. I hope they help you stay focused on finishing your book. Happy writing!
